Hi there! My name is Wim Ramakers (a.k.a. Wumke) and this is my web design portfolio website. I'm pleased that you came here to take a look at my work. If you like my projects or want to ask me something, do not hesitate to contact me or visit my tech-blog.
The website that I made for my volleyball club, Govoc. Powered by the powerfull Drupal CMS and featuring online calendars which people can use to sync their iCal compatible calendar app (and thus be up to date even when games are changed, added or removed) it is a nice online info point for all information about the club and its activities. We are always looking for small or big enthousiast volleyball-loving sponsors!
This was a PHP MVC exercise during my training for PHP developer @ VDAB. The goal was to create a simple online pizza shop purely with PHP. There are also 3 accounts with the same password: 'admin', 'keuken' and 'leveringen' which provide pages for the employees of the company itself. This is a fake website... so no (I'm sorry) I'm not going to bring you a tasty pizza.
(... and many experiments with crazy CSS layouts)
As you probably already know, my name is Wim Ramakers. I live in Ophoven, a small village in the most north-easterly point of Belgium. I speak Dutch, English and a bit French and German. In my free time I like to play volleyball, program some small tools which make my life a bit more easy, build small electronic projects (mostly with PIC microcontrollers) just to try out something that pops up my mind and last, but surely not least, I love cars, motorsports and all the technical things around.
Since I was a kid I was fascinated by how things work ... so I chose to go to a technical school. After that, I went further in the same direction by studying a Master in electronics/ICT. After my graduation I worked a couple of years as a Test Engineer, but I always followed the web scene a bit. Because there are not much companies in my neighborhood that are into electronic manufacturing and I do not want to travel to long each day, I decided to follow a course to become a PHP-developer, which allows me to find work I enjoy more close to home.
The most interesting projects I did during my course and also free time are listed on this portfolio website. Projects will be added in the future, maybe I'll even add a blog in the future(if I find some time).
